My Story

I have always loved fashion. For me, it was never about the actual clothes themselves–it was about a feeling. The feeling of putting on an outfit I loved and suddenly feeling like a more confident version of myself. The feeling of styling my friends and seeing their faces light up in the mirror when they looked at themselves. The feeling of being able to externally express what you internally feel, to project confidence, and to show the world who you are by what you wear.

I have always had a passion for fashion and a love of style. I loved curating outfits and would look forward to planning my outfits every week, and kept a log of them in my planners and journals. I would create Pinterest boards of personal styling inspiration for my friends, and religiously check ‘new arrivals’ daily on my favorite sites. And because I never had much money, I would search for ‘dupes’ and try to create the looks I loved for less.

I had always wanted to start a fashion blog, but fear held me back for so long. I had faced a lot of bullying growing up, and I honestly didn’t know if I could handle putting all of my passion into this idea of a fashion blog only to be ‘cyber bullied’ about what I loved.

But in the middle of the pandemic when I was stuck in a dead-end customer service job and in desperate need of a creative outlet–I decided to go for it.

I sat down and made a deal with myself: that if I could manage to create a website myself, I would at least try to start a fashion blog. And I did.

So I decided to take the plunge and chase my dream. And I’ve never looked back.

I started with a budget of $50 a month. And let me tell you, when you post 30-31 times a month and only have $50 to stretch out, it is no easy feat. This conundrum is what gave me the idea to create capsule wardrobes. The idea was that if I bought only a few buildable basics, I could create a month’s worth of outfits with them. And it worked.

I was astounded at the response from women who had been looking for a resource like this. And from there, my page took off.

Taking the leap of faith to believe more than I feared changed my life. I have never had more joy, passion, and purpose than now. I get to do what I love, all while empowering women to help find their confidence. It’s a dream come true. Thank you for being here and for making my dream a reality.

The What and Why

What I do: I create videos teaching women how to build a capsule wardrobe, style one piece multiple ways, share affordable fashion finds, and empower people to find their personal style! I am the creator of the capsule wardrobe guide, and I share daily workwear outfits and style tips.

In addition to being a creator on TikTok and Instagram, I am a personal stylist who curates custom looks to help people look and feel their best.

I have finally found a career that I love, where my creativity and natural strengths are used every day to have an impact on people’s lives through fashion.

Why I do what I do: My goal is to teach style. To teach people how to do more with less, and to learn to be creative and style one piece multiple ways. To encourage women to shop their closets before purchasing something new. To teach intentional shopping. And to always reiterate that there will always be another sale or deal and teach that you should never go beyond your means to be ‘fashionable.’

The best feeling in the world is when I get a message from a postpartum mama saying my capsule wardrobe guide helped her to find confidence for the first time. Or from a young professional who says my workwear outfit inspiration helps her to show up with confidence at work. That is why I do what I do. If you are reading this, you are why I do what I do.
